There are two statewide elections in California coming up : the next
is the June state primary election, where all 80 members of the Assembly and
a portion of the State Senate seats are up for election. Some 34
members in both houeses are "termed out" - meaning they cannot run
for re-election (though in some cases they can run for a seat in the other
house). The next statewide election after that is the November 2008
presidential election.
Here are the latest results of the February 5, 2008 California
presidential primary election that included several statewide ballot
initiatives (except for one special election in the Assembly 55th District,
no statewide officers or legislative seats were up for election).
